I've known several leaders who have a talent for just continuing to talk without ever finishing a sentence. I believe the dynamic is that the audience doesn't want to necessarily interrupt, then gets lulled into acceptance of person's authority just by virtue of keyword recognition. IE, if they just keep babbling long enough, people will tune out and only register that they hear familiar words and phrases in the rant and accept that a person with so much to say who uses the right words, must deserve to lead. His voice, choice of words are so irritating to my ears...so happy not be forced to listen to it every moment of the ex- presidency.. He has the lowest self esteem, can't let go LOSING the election. He'll never get over it plus it lines his coffers!
The only things that Trump 'takes a look' are the TV, a golf tee, the stock market ticker, his comb over, Ivanka undressing, or the food that's he's holding with both hands (except for pizza which he eats with a knife & fork for some reason).

Someone with money and a sense of decency should just give him another TV show to keep him busy. Except, this time, it would be like The Truman Show. All you would have to do is set up a fake oval office for him to sit in, some actors to act as his staff and some folks to call him and pretend to be Putin and Kim Jong Un. If the ratings are good enough we could just tell him that the Supreme Court has bowed to the unanimous demand of the American people that he be made President for life. Not only would it keep him from screwing everything up in the years to come, it could provide unlimited entertainment for the world as we watch that senile conman pretend to be President until he passes.
Maybe they could make it a game show as well. You could have his staff try to convince him to nuke Mexico (the country to be nuked could change weekly) and then have a handful of contestants try to talk him out of it. If the contestants succeed in stopping him from nuking the country, they get a cash prize that week. It's a great idea with unlimited potential. It would be HUUUUUGE.

There is a difference between a patriot and a nationalist. A patriot loves his country for what it is, and what it stands for, and is willing to protect those values. A nationalist views his nation as superior and near flawless and whenever something breaks with his vision of what he believes his nation is, he views that as treasonous, without consideration for right or wrong. There is nothing wrong with being a patriot, but nationalism is the doom of liberty and democracy, for it doesn't accept the freedom of expression of others, only demand it for oneself. The police were patriots with an impossible task, yet upholding oath and duty, the rioters nationalists blinded by their own delusions. Under the pressure and duress the police suffered, and the violence and size of the mob, I am surprised more lives were not lost, both amongst the police and rioters.
The level of "Cult of Personality" Don possesses to the week of mind is astounding. The anger his followers have was most likely there way before his horrid Presidency took place and his utter and hateful lies led them down that rabbit hole of hate and ignorance. It's just pretty sad to witness a complete lack of respect for human life while his blind sheep follow, go to jail or prison or die. He and his evil cronies walk free. So so sad.

Criminal charges: More than 225 defendants have been charged with assaulting, resisting, or impeding officers or employees, including over 75 individuals who have been charged with using a deadly or dangerous weapon or causing serious bodily injury to an officer. Some 10 persons have been arrested on a series of charges that relate to assaulting a member of the media, or destroying their equipment, on Jan. 6. Approximately 640 defendants have been charged with entering or remaining in a local federal building or grounds. Over 75 defendants have been charged with entering a restricted area with a dangerous or deadly weapon. More than 45 defendants have been charged with destruction of government property, and over 30 defendants have been charged with theft of government property
These people were not Democrats. They were not Republicans. And most of all they were not Americans. Yes they may identify with that party and they my be Americans by law, but they were simply not. A true American respects others beliefs. A true American accepts a loss and will try again in four years. A true American doesn’t fight their country, they fight for their country. A true American peacefully protests when they want change. Most importantly a true American can tell right from wrong, and wrong from right. I am disgusted by any protest that gets this violent. Whether it be for Republicans or Democrats. This is not what we do in America. When we want change we peacefully protest. The only time we should fight against a government is when it is oppressive which the government has never been. These people where neither Americans, Republicans, or Democrats. They were terrorists. Just because some man who yells and looks like annoying orange or a man who falls down airplane steps tells you to do something doesn’t mean you must do it.Everyone can learn from this.
