When You're Smiling (The Whole World Smiles With You)

When you're smiling when you're smiling
The whole world smiles with you
When you're laughing when you're laughing
The sun comes shining through

But when you're crying you bring on the rain
So stop your sighing be happy again
And keep on smiling keep on smiling
And the whole world smiles with you

YOU'RE NOT THE ONLY OYSTER IN THE STEW

You're not the only oyster in the stew, not the only tea leaf in the tea;
However, I'm convinced completely, fully, firmly convinced you're the only one for me!
You're not the only wrinkle in the prune you're not the only apple on the tree;
Judging all the facts perfectly logical positive facts you're the only one for me!
So well supplied, the first things I see your smile is refreshing, kisses so unique!
When I'm 'round I'm susceptible and weak I loves ya, I loves ya, so to speak!

There's seven million people in New York,
Fifty million Frenchmen in Paree not to mention serfs,
And English, Irish, Italians and Turks,
But you're the only one for me!
There's seven million people in New York,
Fifty million Frenchmen in Paree,
Not to mention English, Irish, Turks,
You're the only one for me you're not the only oyster in the stew

Summer Breeze

See the curtains hanging in the window, in the evening on a Friday night
A little light shining through the window, lets me know everything's alright
Summer breeze, makes me feel fine, blowing through the jasmine in my mind
Summer breeze, makes me feel fine, blowing through the jasmine in my mind

See the paper laying in the sidewalk, a little music from the house next door
So I walked on up to the doorstep, through the screen and across the floor
Summer breeze, makes me feel fine, blowing through the jasmine in my mind
Summer breeze, makes me feel fine, blowing through the jasmine in my mind

Sweet days of summer, the jasmine's in bloom July is dressed up and playing her tune
And I come home from a hard day's work and you're waiting there, not a care in the world
See the smile waiting in the kitchen, food cooking and the plates for two
Feel the arms that reach out to hold me, in the evening when the day is through
Summer breeze, makes me feel fine, blowing through the jasmine in my mind
Summer breeze, makes me feel fine, blowing through the jasmine in my mind

Feeling Good

Birds flying high you know how I feel
Sun in the sky you know how I feel
Breeze drifting on by you know how I feel
It's a new dawn it's a new day it's a new life
For me and I'm feeling good

Fish in the sea you know how I feel
River running free you know how I feel
Blossom on the tree you know how I feel
It's a new dawn it's a new day it's a new life
For me and I'm feeling good

Dragonfly out in the sun you know what I mean, don't you know
Butterflies all having fun you know what I mean
Sleep in peace when day is done that's what I mean
And this old world is a new world and a bold world for me
Stars when you shine you know how I feel
Scent of the pine you know how I feel
Freedom is mine and I know how I feel
It's a new dawn it's a new day it's a new life
For me and I'm feeling good

Mississippi Goddamn

Alabama's gotten me so upset Tennessee made me lose my rest
And everybody knows about Mississippi goddam
Alabama's gotten me so upset Tennessee made me lose my rest
And everybody knows about Mississippi goddam
Can't you see it can't you feel it it's all in the air
I can't stand the pressure much longer somebody say a prayer

Alabama's gotten me so upset Tennessee made me lose my rest
And everybody knows about Mississippi goddam
This is a show tune but the show hasn't been written for it, yet
Hound dogs on my trail school children sitting in jail
Black cat cross my path I think every day's gonna be my last
Lord have mercy on this land of mine we all gonna get it in due time
I don't belong here I don't belong there I've even stopped believing in prayer

Don't tell me I tell you me and my people just about due I've been there so I know
They keep on saying 'Go slow!'but that's just the trouble
'Do it slow' washing the windows
'Do it slow'picking the cotton
'Do it slow' you're just plain rotten
'Do it slow' you're too damn lazy
'Do it slow' the thinking's crazy
'Do it slow' where am I going
What am I doing I don't know I don't know
Just try to do your very best stand up be counted with all the rest
For everybody knows about Mississippi goddam

I made you thought I was kidding picket lines school boy cots
They try to say it's a communist plot all I want is equality for my sister my brother my people and me
Yes you lied to me all these years you told me to wash and clean my ears
And talk real fine just like a lady and you'd stop calling me Sister Sadie
But this whole country is full of lies you're all gonna die and die like flies I don't trust you any more
You keep on saying 'Go slow!''Go slow!'but that's just the trouble
'Do it slow' Desegregation
'Do it slow' Mass participation
'Do it slow' Reunification
'Do it slow' Do things gradually
'Do it slow' But bring more tragedy
'Do it slow' Why don't you see it Why don't you feel it I don't know I don't know
You don't have to live next to me just give me my equality
Everybody knows about Mississippi everybody knows about Alabama
Everybody knows about Mississippi goddam, that's it

Hard To Be Humble

Lord it's hard to be humble when you're perfect in every way
I can't wait to look in the mirror because I get better looking each day
To know me is to love me I must be a hell of a man
Lord it's hard to be humble but I'm doing the best that I can

I used to have me a girlfriend but I guess that she couldn't compete
With all of them love-starved women who keep clamouring round at my feet
I could probably find me another but I guess they're all in awe of me
Who cares, I'll never get lonesome because I treasure my own company

I guess you could say I'm a loner a cowboy out lone, tough, and proud
I could have lot of friends if I wanted but then I wouldn't stand out from the crowd
Some folks say that I'm egotistical hell I don't even know what that means
I guess it has something to do with the way that I fill out my skin tight blue jeans

Rivers Of Babylon

We sat down and wept by the waters of Babel, and thought of the day
When our foe, in the hue of his slaughters made Salem’s high places his prey;
And ye, oh her desolate daughters were scattered all weeping away.

While sadly we gazed on the river which rolled on in freedom below,
They demanded the song; but, oh never that triumph the stranger shall know!
May this right hand be withered for ever ere it string our high harp for the foe!

On the willow that harp is suspended Oh Salem! its sound should be free;
And the hour when thy glories were ended but left me that token of thee:
And ne’er shall its soft tones be blended with the voice of the spoiler by me!

Manfred

When the moon is on the wave and the glow-worm in the grass,
And the meteor on the grave and the wisp on the morass;
When the falling stars are shooting and the answer’d owls are hooting,
And the silent leaves are still in the shadow of the hill,
Shall my soul be upon thine with a power and with a sign.

Though thy slumber may be deep yet thy spirit shall not sleep;
There are shades which will not vanish there are thoughts thou canst not banish;
By a power to thee unknown thou canst never be alone;
Thou art wrapt as with a shroud thou art gather’d in a cloud;
And for ever shalt thou dwell in the spirit of this spell.

Though thou seest me not pass by thou shalt feel me with thine eye
As a thing that, though unseen must be near thee, and hath been;
And when in that secret dread thou hast turn’d around thy head,
Thou shalt marvel I am not as thy shadow on the spot,
And the power which thou dost feel shall be what thou must conceal.

And a magic voice and verse hath baptized thee with a curse;
And a spirit of the air hath begirt thee with a snare;
In the wind there is a voice shall forbid thee to rejoice;
And to thee shall night deny all the quiet of her sky;
And the day shall have a sun which shall make thee wish it done.

From thy false tears I did distil an essence which hath strength to kill;
From thy own heart I then did wring the black blood in its blackest spring;
From thy own smile I snatch’d the snake for there it coil’d as in a brake;
From thy own lip I drew the charm which gave all these their chiefest harm;
In proving every poison known I found the strongest was thine own.

By thy cold breast and serpent smile by thy unfathomed gulfs of guile,
By that most seeming virtuous eye by thy shut soul’s hypocrisy;
By the perfection of thine art which pass’d for human thine own heart;
By thy delight in others’ pain and by thy brotherhood of Cain,
I call upon thee! and compel thyself to be thy proper Hell!

And on thy head I pour the vial which doth devote thee to this trial;
Nor to slumber, nor to die shall be in thy destiny;
Though thy death shall still seem near to thy wish, but as a fear;
Lo! the spell now works around thee and the clankless chain hath bound thee;
O’er thy heart and brain together hath the word been pass’d–now wither!

My Soul Is Dark

My soul is dark – Oh! quickly string
The harp I yet can brook to hear;
And let thy gentle fingers fling
Its melting murmurs o’er mine ear.
If in this heart a hope be dear,
That sound shall charm it forth again:
If in these eyes there lurk a tear,
‘Twill flow, and cease to burn my brain.

But bid the strain be wild and deep,
Nor let thy notes of joy be first:
I tell thee, minstrel, I must weep,
Or else this heavy heart will burst;
For it hath been by sorrow nursed,
And ached in sleepless silence, long;
And now ’tis doomed to know the worst,
And break at once – or yield to song.

She Walks In Beauty

She walks in beauty, like the night of cloudless climes and starry skies;
And all that’s best of dark and bright meet in her aspect and her eyes;
Thus mellowed to that tender light which heaven to gaudy day denies.
One shade the more, one ray the less had half impaired the nameless grace
Which waves in every raven tress or softly lightens o’er her face;
Where thoughts serenely sweet express how pure, how dear their dwelling-place.
And on that cheek, and o’er that brow so soft, so calm, yet eloquent,
The smiles that win, the tints that glow but tell of days in goodness spent,
A mind at peace with all below a heart whose love is innocent!

Running Down A Dream

It was a beautiful day, the sun beat down
I had the radio on, I was driving
Trees went by, me and Del were singing
Little Runaway I was flying

Running down a dream that never would come to me
Working on a mystery, going wherever it leads
Running down a dream

I felt so good, like anything was possible
Hit cruise control and rubbed my eyes
The last three days the rain was unstoppable
It was always cold, no sunshine

I rolled on, the sky grew dark
I put the pedal down to make some time
There's something good waiting down this road
I'm pickin' up whatever's mine

MAID OF ATHENS, ERE WE PART

Maid of Athens,ere we part,
Give, oh give me back my heart!
Or, since that has left my breast,
Keep it now, and take the rest!
Hear my vow before I go,

By those tresses unconfined,
Wooed by each Ægean wind;
By those lids whose jetty fringe
Kiss thy soft cheeks' blooming tinge
By those wild eyes like the roe,
Ζωή μου, σᾶς ἀγαπῶ.

By that lip I long to taste;
By that zone-encircled waist;
By all the token-flowers[4] that tell
What words can never speak so well;
By love's alternate joy and woe,

Maid of Athens! I am gone:
Think of me, sweet! when alone.
Though I fly to Istanbul
Athens holds my heart and soul:
Can I cease to love thee? No!

O Canada

O Canada our home and native land!
True patriot love in all of us command.
With glowing hearts we see thee rise,
The True North strong and free from far and wide,
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.
God keep our land glorious and free!
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.

O Canada land of our ancestors
Glorious deeds circle your brow
For your arm knows how to wield the sword
Your arm knows how to carry the cross;
Your history is an epic of brilliant deeds
And your valour steeped in faith
Will protect our homes and our rights,
Will protect our homes and our rights

O Canada where pines and maples grow.
Great prairies spread and lordly rivers flow.
How dear to us thy broad domain from East to Western sea.
Thou land of hope for all who toil Thou True North, strong and free!

God keep our land glorious and free!
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.

O Canada beneath thy shining skies
May stalwart sons, and gentle maidens rise,
To keep thee steadfast through the years from East to Western sea.
Our own beloved native land Our True North, strong and free!

Under the eye of God, near the giant river the Canadian grows hoping.
He was born of a proud race blessed was his birthplace Heaven has noted his career
In this new world always guided by its light,
He will keep the honour of his flag,
He will keep the honour of his flag.

From his patron, the precursor of the true God,
He wears the halo of fire on his brow.
Enemy of tyranny but full of loyalty,
He wants to keep in harmony,
His proud freedom and by the effort of his genius,
Set on our ground the truth,
Set on our ground the truth.

Sacred love of the throne and the altar,
Fill our hearts with your immortal breath!
Among the foreign races our guide is the law:
Let us know how to be a people of brothers,
Under the yoke of faith and repeat, like our fathers,
The battle cry: "For Christ and King!"
The battle cry: "For Christ and King!"

Summer In The City

Hot town, summer in the city back of my neck getting dirty and gritty
Been down, isn't it a pity doesn't seem to be a shadow in the city
All around, people looking half dead walking on the sidewalk, hotter than a match head
But at night it's a different world go out and find a girl
Come on, come on and dance all night despite the heat it'll be all right
And babe, don't you know it's a pity that the days can't be like the nights
In the summer, in the city in the summer, in the city

Cool town, evening in the city dressing so fine and looking so pretty
Cool cat, looking for a kitty gonna look in every corner of the city
Till I'm wheezing like a bus stop running up the stairs, gonna meet you on the rooftop
But at night it's a different world go out and find a girl
Come on, come on and dance all night despite the heat it'll be all right
And babe, don't you know it's a pity that the days can't be like the nights
In the summer, in the city in the summer, in the city

Hot town, summer in the city back of my neck getting dirty and gritty
Been down, isn't it a pity doesn't seem to be a shadow in the city
All around, people looking half dead walking on the sidewalk, hotter than a match head
But at night it's a different world go out and find a girl
Come on, come on and dance all night despite the heat it'll be all right
And babe, don't you know it's a pity that the days can't be like the nights
In the summer, in the city in the summer, in the city

The Sound Of Pudding

Hello dessert, my old friend I've come to eat with you again
Because a pumpkin pie softly creeping left its seeds while I was eating
And the bacon that was planted in my tummy still remains
Within the sound of pudding

And restless gravy runs alone thru mashed potatoes and bacon
Neath the halo of a donut I turned my mouth to a steam clam
When my mouth got taste of a pudding pie with whipped cream
Within the sound of pudding.

Dreams of cheeseburgers topped with bacon and barbecue sauce
BBQ pulled pork sandwiches topped with a mountain of coleslaw
Nashville fried chicken doused in spicy Korean sauce with cheesy fries
Wash it down with a cocktail of watermelon and vodka a nice surprise
And still there is room in my tummy for that chocolate cookie pie

Hello dessert, my old friend I've come to eat with you again
Because a pumpkin pie softly creeping left its seeds while I was eating
And the bacon that was planted in my tummy still remains
Within the sound of pudding

No More Saturday Nights

No More Saturday Nights

I get out of bed at six am in the morning and I get to work at fucking nine
The weekdays are going down like the train tracks down the fucking line
They say the economy is broken and all of the politicians are just fucked up
Its the back of the queue and the end of the line because everything is corrupt
All I fucking want is a bottle of beer and a shot of rum just to calm down my mood
But I know all of you lying cunts are the ones who will just end up as a mob of fools

You have set me up the wrong way you want to railroad me into your oblivion
You have done things to put me to shame but you are the one who wrote this chapter
I still cannot believe all of the shit out of your mouth that you fucking have said
Double speaking lying and jiving just one more day and I will end up fucking dead
If you think you are smart enough why don't you take a gun to your fucking head
There are no more Saturday nights because everything is down the fucking drain
If you cannot see it then there is no sunshine out in the middle of this pouring rain
There are no more Saturday nights because everything is down the fucking drain
If you cannot see it then there is no sunshine out in the middle of this pouring rain

The bartenders are nonsensical pricks looking around for their fucking junkie fix
You are nothing more than a disease I hope to God that you are fucking executed
I am tired of all of the bullshit that's in this town and its like a ton of fucking bricks
Call the death squad because someone in town is getting their head fucking kicked
All I fucking want is a bottle of beer and a shot of rum just to calm down my mood
But I know all of you lying cunts are the ones who will just end up as a mob of fools

We're not going down the pub the bouncers are a bunch of cunts
We're not going down the pub the bouncers are a bunch of cunts
We're not going down the pub the bouncers are a bunch of cunts
We're not going down the pub the bouncers are a bunch of cunts

You bouncers in the pubs are nothing more than Nazi meat heads looking for underage pussy
You think you want to uphold the law but your fucking stupidity is always fucking killing me
Questioning people for ID and lying bullshit about the fucked up one in one out over capacity
When the new world order reigns down on you you will be the first to go you fucking pricks
Your uniforms means nothing because the badge means you suck and you all suck fucking dick
I hope to God a riot in town breaks out and you will be battered by the riot police night stick

Old Harrow town has seen better days just give me the bomb just to detonate this fucking place
Gentrification is a byword just to move in lame fucking hipsters instead of old school regulars
Give me the fire and give me the kerosene so I can blow up this entire town all the fucking way
Would you rather be in pub or club with new facelifts or friends who can drink much faster
All I fucking want is a bottle of beer and a shot of rum just to calm down my mood
But I know all of you lying cunts are the ones who will just end up as a mob of fools

Fuck the hipsters and fuck the lame stream it just means fuck all to me because they are sheep
Shave off your beard cut your hair and burn your tattoos all of you jumped up fucking pricks
Nothing more than conforming clones I will find a weapon just to bash your fucking skull in
Right wing left wing your political dalliances makes me fucking sick you fucked up dicks
SJWs and pseudo gender transexual will receive death by fire the more efficient execution
Fuck the rising prices of food and drinks I want a weapon to bash some fucking skulls in
All I fucking want is a bottle of beer and a shot of rum just to calm down my mood
But I know all of you lying cunts are the ones who will just end up as a mob of fools

The Maple Leaf Forever

In days of yore, to this wild shore
French and British strangers came
And planted firm their conquerors' flags
Where Native peoples reigned
In struggle and in hope they forged
A nation here together
That there might wave so proud and free
The Maple Leaf forever.

Through bitter wars in freedom's cause
Brave Canadians fought and died
Now we, their children, guard the peace
Where hate and war divide
We'll not break faith with glories past
The torch we'll lower never
A shining light to all the world
The Maple Leaf forever.

From Arctic land to Great Lakes strand
Baie d’Espoir to Nootka Sound
May patriot love unite us and
True commonwealth be found;
And may Canadians new and old
Uphold the great endeavour
And proudly wave from sea to sea
The Maple Leaf forever.

The Maple Leaf, our emblem dear
The Maple Leaf forever
And proudly wave from sea to sea
The Maple Leaf forever.

O, land of blue unending skies,
Mountains strong and sparkling snow,
A scent of freedom in the wind,
O'er the emerald fields below.

To thee we brought our hopes, our dreams,
For thee we stand together,
Our land of peace, where proudly flies,
The Maple Leaf forever.

Chorus:
Long may it wave, and grace our own,
Blue skies and stormy weather,
Within my heart, above my home,
The Maple Leaf forever!

O, Maple Leaf around the world,
You speak as you rise high above,
Of courage, peace and quiet strength,
Of the Canada that I love.

Remind us all, our union bound
By ties we cannot sever,
Bright flag revered on every ground,
The Maple Leaf forever!

The Maple Leaf Forever (Alternate)

O, land of blue unending skies,
Mountains strong and sparkling snow,
A scent of freedom in the wind,
O'er the emerald fields below.

To thee we brought our hopes, our dreams,
For thee we stand together,
Our land of peace, where proudly flies,
The Maple Leaf forever.

Chorus:
Long may it wave, and grace our own,
Blue skies and stormy weather,
Within my heart, above my home,
The Maple Leaf forever!

From East and West, our heroes came,
Through icy fields and frozen bays,
Who conquered fear, and cold, and hate,
And their ancient wisdom says:

Protect the weak, defend your rights,
And build this land together,
Above which shine the Northern Lights,
And the Maple Leaf forever!

Oh, Maple Leaf, around the world,
You speak as you rise high above,
Of courage, peace and quiet strength,
Of the Canada I love.

Remind us all our union bound,
By ties we cannot sever,
Bright flag revered on every ground,
The Maple Leaf forever!

In days of yore from splendid shores,
Bold and true, our founders came,
And planted firm those rights of old,
Into Canada's fair domain,
This hallowed oath and legacy,
We vow to yield it never!,
For life and peace and liberty!,
The Maple Leaf Forever!,

The Maple Leaf, our emblem dear,
The Maple Leaf Forever!,
Long may it wave and God defend,
The Maple Leaf Forever!,

Thro' battle flame in lands afar,
Our brave warriors side by side,
For freedom, home, and lov'd ones dear,
Firmly stood and nobly died,
Their sacrifice and valour shine,
Their Names Will Live Forever!,
O Valiant hearts whose deeds proclaim,
The Maple Leaf Forever!,

The Maple Leaf, our emblem dear,
The Maple Leaf Forever!,
Long may it wave and God defend,
The Maple Leaf Forever!,

O land where season's gifts abound,
Earth's own bounties rich embrace,
Where flowing waters' majesty,
Sing the hymn of freedom's grace,
From oceantide to northern light,
All bound as One Together!,
Dominion blessed from sea to sea,
The Maple Leaf Forever!,

The Maple Leaf, our emblem dear,
The Maple Leaf Forever!,
Long may it wave and God defend,
The Maple Leaf Forever!,

The Maple Leaf Forever

In days of yore, from Britain's shore Wolfe, the dauntless hero, came
And planted firm Britannia's flag on Canada's fair domain.
Here may it wave, our boast, our pride and, joined in love together,
The thistle, shamrock, rose entwine the lily, thistle, shamrock, rose The Maple Leaf forever!
The Maple Leaf, our emblem dear The Maple Leaf forever!
God save our Queen and Heaven bless The Maple Leaf forever!

At Queenston Heights and Lundy's Lane our brave fathers, side by side,
For freedom, homes and loved ones dear firmly stood and nobly died;
And those dear rights which they maintained, we swear to yield them never!
Our watchword evermore shall be "The Maple Leaf forever!"
The Maple Leaf, our emblem dear The Maple Leaf forever!
God save our Queen and Heaven bless The Maple Leaf forever!

Our fair Dominion now extends from Cape Race to Nootka Sound;
May peace forever be our lot, and plenteous store abound:
And may those ties of love be ours which discord cannot sever,
And flourish green o'er freedom's home The Maple Leaf forever!
The Maple Leaf, our emblem dear The Maple Leaf forever!
God save our Queen and Heaven bless The Maple Leaf forever!

On merry England's far famed land may kind heaven sweetly smile,
God bless old Scotland evermore and Ireland's Emerald Isle!
And swell the song both loud and long till rocks and forest quiver!
God save our Queen and Heaven bless The Maple Leaf forever!
The Maple Leaf, our emblem dear The Maple Leaf forever!
God save our Queen and Heaven bless The Maple Leaf forever!

Do The Bartman

Yo! Hey, what's happenin', dude I'm a guy with a rep for being rude.
Terrorizing' people wherever I go it's not intentional, just keepin' the flow.
Fixin' test scores to get the best scores droppin' banana peels all over the floor.
I'm the kid that made delinquency an art last name: Simpson! First name: Bart!
I'm here today to introduce the next phase the next step in the big Bart craze.
I gotta dance real easy to do I learned it with no rhythm and so can you.
So move your body, if you got the notion front to back in a rock-like motion
Now that you got it, if you think that you can do it to the music. That's the Bartman!

Everybody if you can, do the Bartman!
Shake your body, turn it out if you can, man!
Move your butt to the side, yes, you can can.
Everybody in the house, do the Bartman!
Everybody if you can, do the Bartman!
Shake your body, turn it out if you can, man!
Move your butt to the side, yes, you can can.
Everybody in the house, do the Bartman!

It wasn't long ago, just a couple of weeks I got in trouble pretty deep.
Homer was yelling Mom was, too because I put moth balls in the beef stew.
Punishment time, in the air lurks gloom sittin' by myself, confined to my room,
When all else fails, nothin' else left to do I turn on the music so I can feel the groove.
Move your body, if you get the notion front to back in a rock-like motion
Move your hips from side to side now don't you slip, let your feet glide now
If you gotta groove, you gotta use it rock rhythm in time with the music
You just might start a chain reaction If you can do the Bart, you're bad like Michael Jackson.

Now I'm in the house, feelin' good to be home
'Til Lisa starts blowin' that damn saxophone.
And if it was mine, you know they'd take it away,
But still I'm feelin' good, so that's okay.
I'm up in my room, just a-singing a song,
Listen to the kick-drum kickin' along.
Lisa likes jazz, she's her number one fan,
But I know I'm bad, 'cause I do the Bartman!

Party Posse

Party Posse, we rule the Earth,
The greatest band since music's birth
We love to sweat, and we love to sing
We're really funky but not threatening
We're the best band in the world.
But we give it all up for that special girl.
You're my special girl special girl
You're my special girl only you

I saw you last night at the spelling bee
I knew right then that it was L-U-V
I gotta spell out what you mean to me
Cause I can no longer be a silent "G".
I've gotta spell out what I've gotta spell out
I've gotta spell out what you mean to me
What you mean to me.

Say can you rock?
There's trouble in a far off nation time to get in love formation!
Your love's more deadly than Saddam that's why I gotta drop da bomb!
This party is happening it's no mirage so sing it again
Had a girl in every port from here to Barcelona.
But now I am docked in Springfield and girl, I'm gonna phone ya.
I stormed a lot of beaches, but you're the one that I miss.
Let's get back together girl, let's reenlist.
So sign me up, for a hitch of love.
Recruit my heart four sweet years of love.
We'll march all day and clean latrines all night.
Don't bust me down, let's re-up tonight.

The Wanderer

Well, I'm the type of guy who will never settle down
Where pretty girls are, well you know that I'm around
I kiss 'em and I love 'em cause to me they're all the same
I hug 'em and I squeeze 'em they don't even know my name
They call me the wanderer the wanderer I roam around, around, around

Well, there's Flo on my left and then there's Mary on my right
And Janie is the girl well that I'll be with tonight
And when she asks me, which one I love the best?
I tear open my shirt and I show "Rosie" on my chest
Cause I'm the wanderer the wanderer I roam around, around, around

Well, I roam from town to town I go through life without a care
And I'm as happy as a clown I with my two fists of iron but I'm going nowhere
I'm the type of guy that likes to roam around
I'm never in one place, I roam from town to town
And when I find myself a-fallin' for some girl
I hop right into that car of mine and drive around the world
I'm the wanderer the wanderer I roam around, around, around

I'm the type of guy that likes to roam around
I'm never in one place, I roam from town to town
And when I find myself a-fallin' for some girl
I hop right into that car of mine and drive around the world
Cause I'm the wanderer the wanderer I roam around, around, around
They call me the wanderer the wanderer I roam around, around, around
I'm the wanderer the wanderer I roam around, around, around

She Had to Go and Lose It at the Astor

But she had to go and lose it at the Astor she didn't take her mother's good advice.
Now there aren't so many girls today who have one and she'd never let it go for any price
They searched the place from penthouse to the cellar in every room and underneath each bed.
Once they thought they saw it lying on a pillow but they found it belonged to someone else instead.

But she had to go and lose it at the Astor she didn't know exactly whom to blame
And she couldn't say just how or when she lost it she only knew she had it when she came.
They questioned all the bellboys and the porter the chef appeared to be the guilty guy
And the doorman also acted quite suspicious but he coyly said, "I'm sure it wasn't I"

But she had to go and lose it at the Astor it nearly killed her mother and her dad
Now they felt as bad about the thing as she did after all it was the only one she had
They just about completed all their searching when the chauffeur walked up with it in his hand
All they did was stand and gape, there was Minnie's sable cape and she thought that she had
Lost it at the Astor.

Shanghai Lil

Temples reaching to the stars, international bazaars
Chummy little Chinese ladies, drinking at those dinky bars
Balmy breezes rom the sea, blossoms in the cherry tree
Everything is so familiar, but where, where is she

I've covered every little highway and I've been climbing every hill
I've been looking high and I've been looking low looking for my Shanghai Lil
The stars that hang high over Shanghai bring back the memory of a thrill
I've been looking high and I've been looking low looking for my Shanghai Lil
I learned to love her the little devil was just a butterfly
But you'd discover something on the level shining in her eye
I've been trying to forget her but what's the use, I never will
I'll be looking high and I'll be looking low till I find my Shanghai Lil

Anxiously I cast an eye on each street throughout Shanghai
Plenty Oriental ladies beckon as they pass me by
But my mind just can't erase one outstanding lovely face
So, until the day I find out, I'll never leave this place

Little Boy You're Going To Hell

Little boy at peace what is this place beyond the stars?
Open up you're eyes what are these things you're moving toward?
Head so full of wonder worries in the past
Could it be that you are free at last?
NO!!!!

Little boy you're going to HELL!
You said bad words threw rocks at the birds
And now this is your hotel!
You ain't going back this ain't Disneyland/it's HELL!
Little boy it's time for you to PAY!
For hurting that bird/not going to church
And staring at boobs every day
You aint goin' back now you must stand in HELL!

Hell isn't good Hell isn't good HELL!
Hell isn't good Hell isn't good HELL!
Hell isn't good Hell isn't good HELL!

Chocolate Salty Balls

Two tablespoons of cinnamon and two or three egg whites,
A half a stick of butter, melted.stick it all in a bowl
Baby stir it with a wooden spoon,
Mix in a cup of flour you'll be in heaven soon.

Say everybody have you seen my balls they're big and salty and brown.
If you ever need a quick pick me up, just stick my balls in your mouth.
Suck on my chocolate salty balls, stick 'em in your mouth and suck 'em.
Suck on my chocolate salty balls, they're packed full of vitamins and good for you
So suck on my balls.

Pour in a cup of unsweetened chocolate and a half a cup of brandy
Then throw in a bag or two of sugar and just a pinch of vanilla,
Grease up the cookie sheet cause I hate when my balls stick!
Then preheat the oven to tree-fiddy, and give that spoon a lick!

Hey, wait a minute, what's that smell it smells like something's burning.
Well, that don't bother me none, as long as I get my rent paid on Friday.
Baby, you better get back in the kitchen, cause I got a sneaking suspicion.
Oh man baby, baby, you just burnt my balls my balls are on fire,
Come on, my balls are burning, gimme some water pour some water on them
O goodness, blow on them, do something

My Girl's Pussy

There's one pet I like to pet and every evening we get set
I stroke it every chance I get it's my girl's pussy
Seldom plays and never purrs and I love the thoughts it stirs
But I don't mind because it's hers my girl's pussy
Often it goes out at night returns at break of dawn
No matter what the weather's like it's always nice and warm
It's never dirty, always clean in giving thrills, never mean
But it's the best I've ever seen is my girl's pussy

There's one pet I like to pet and every evening we get set
I stroke it every chance I get it's my girl's pussy
Seldom plays, never purrs and I love the thoughts it stirs
But I don't mind because it's hers it's my girl's pussy
Though often it goes out at night and returns at break of dawn, break of dawn
No matter what the weather's like it's always dry and warm
I bring tidbits that it loves we spoon like two turtle doves
I take care to remove my gloves when stroking my girl's pussy

One Night In Bangkok

Bangkok, Oriental setting and the city don't know that the city is getting
The creme de la creme of the chess world in a show with everything but Yul Brynner
Time flies doesn't seem a minute since the Tirolean spa had the chess boys in it
All change don't you know that when you play at this level there's no ordinary venue
It's Iceland or the Philippines or Hastings or or this place!

One night in Bangkok and the world's your oyster the bars are temples but the pearls ain't free
You'll find a god in every golden cloister and if you're lucky then the god's a she
I can feel an angel sliding up to me
One night in Bangkok makes a hard man humble not much between despair and ecstasy
One night in Bangkok and the tough guys tumble can't be too careful with your company
I can feel the devil walking next to me
One night in Bangkok and the world's your oyster the bars are temples but the pearls ain't free
You'll find a god in every golden cloister a little flesh, a little history
I can feel an angel sliding up to me
One night in Bangkok makes a hard man humble not much between despair and ecstasy
One night in Bangkok and the tough guys tumble can't be too careful with your company
I can feel the devil walking next to me

One town's very like another when your head's down over your pieces, brother
It's a drag, it's a bore, it's really such a pity to be looking at the board, not looking at the city
Whaddya mean ya seen one crowded, polluted, stinking town
Tea, girls, warm, sweet some are set up in the Somerset Maugham suite
Get thai'd, you're talking to a tourist whose every move's among the purest
I get my kicks above the waistline, sunshine

Siam's gonna be the witness to the ultimate test of cerebral fitness
This grips me more than would a muddy old river or reclining Buddha
And thank God I'm only watching the game controlling it
I don't see you guys rating the kind of mate I'm contemplating
I'd let you watch, I would invite you but the queens we use would not excite you
So you better go back to your bars, your temples your massage parlours

Syncopated Lady

She's a syncopated lady and she lingers where it's shady
And I listen to her daily as she plucks her ukulele
And her eyes are kinda flashy and her clothes are kinda trashy
And she smokes them small havanas and she chews them big bananas -
Teeth like pearls and lips like wine
Thump thumpy thumpy goes that heart of mine

Thumpy thumpy thumpy 'cos her shape it is so bumpy
It's so dimply and dumpy kinda loose and kinda lumpy
And it has no imperfections and it points in all directions
How I love them pounds and ounces in that sweater when it bounces
And it makes me kinda jumpy when our arms entwine
Thumpy thumpy thumpy goes that heart of mine.

She's a syncopated lady and her second name is Sadie
And I love the way she dances with just anyone she fancies
And I love the way she washes and she wears them big galoshes
And the way her hands meander when she's kissed on her veranda
She lives at number seven but she sleeps at number nine
Thumpy thumpy thumpy goes that heart of mine

Nothing Is Lost

Deep in our sub-conscious, we are told lie all our memories, lie all the notes
Of all the music we have ever heard and all the phrases those we loved have spoken,
Sorrows and losses time has since consoled,family jokes, outmoded anecdotes
Each sentimental souvenir and token everything seen, experienced, each word
Addressed to us in infancy, before before we could even know or understand
The implications of our wonderland there they all are, the legendary lies
The birthday treats, the sights, the sounds, the tears forgotten debris of forgotten years
Waiting to be recalled, waiting to rise before our world dissolves before our eyes
Waiting for some small, intimate reminder a word, a tune, a known familiar scent
An echo from the past when, innocent we looked upon the present with delight
And doubted not the future would be kinder and never knew the loneliness of night.

Lie In The Dark And Listen

Lie in the dark and listen it's clear tonight so they're flying high
Hundreds of them, thousands perhaps riding the icy, moonlight sky.
Men, materials, bombs and maps altimeters and guns and charts
Coffee, sandwiches, fleece-lined boots bones and muscles and minds and hearts
English saplings with English roots deep in the earth they've left below lie in the dark and let them go
Lie in the dark and listen lie in the dark and listen

They're going over in waves and waves high above villages, hills and streams
Country churches and little graves and little citizen's worried dreams.
Very soon they'll have reached the sea and far below them will lie the bays
And coves and sands where they used to be taken for summer holidays.
Lie in the dark and let them go lie in the dark and listen.

Lie in the dark and listen city magnates and steel contractors,
Factory workers and politicians soft hysterical little actors Ballet dancers,'reserved' musicians,
Safe in your warm civilian beds count your profits and count your sheep
Life is flying above your heads just turn over and try to sleep.
Lie in the dark and let them go theirs is a world you'll never know
Lie in the dark and listen.

Contours

Round - oblong - like jam terse as virulent hermaphrodites;
Calling across the sodden twisted ends of Time edifices of importunity
Sway like Parmesan before the half-tones of Episcopalian Michaelmas;
Bodies are so impossible to see in retrospect  and yet I know the well of truth
Is gutted like a pratchful Unicorn sog, sog, sog - why is my mind ambitious?
That's what it is.

Any Part Of Piggy

Any part of the piggy is quite alright with me.
Ham from Westphalia, ham from Parma
Ham as lean as the Dalai Lama
Ham from Virginia, ham from York,
Trotters, sausages, hot roast pork.
Crackling crisp for my teeth to grind on
Bacon with or without the rind on
Though humanitarian I'm not a vegetarian.
I'm neither a crank nor prude nor prig
And though it may sound infra dig
Any part of the darling pig is perfectly fine by me.
